The Plan of The Modern House

Le Corbusier proposed that "building is the machine of residence" and also proposed its own "model" of residence - Domino Residence and Citroen Residence. Beginning with the Citroen residence, Le Corbusier gradually formed the five principles of the core content of modern architecture that was later published in 1926:

1. The independent pillars on the bottom layer form the six faces of the building instead of the traditional six faces;

2. Roof garden;

 3. Free plane, minimizing the tradition of separating rooms with walls;

4. Long horizontal window;

5. Free façade.

The delegate work that mirrors the five points of the new building is the Savoy Villa, which was structured by Corbusier in 1928 in Poisch, a suburb of Paris. It was worked in 1929. It is a significant case of his "unadulterated structure." The structure is hailed as an achievement in pioneer engineering since it completely mirrors the hypothesis, plan and machine feel of innovator design. Introduction of Savoy Villa

The Savoy Villa is set in 12 sections of land of green nurseries. The base plane is rectangular, about 22.5m, and about 20m wide. An aggregate of two layers. The south, north and west sides of the ground floor are empty, and each side is raised by white columns. This mirrors the qualities of the hidden overhead .On the east side of the plane there is a divider fenced in area with a hall, carport, stairs and inclines, just as a worker's room. The highest floor has a lounge, room, kitchen, lounge area, rooftop garden and a semi-open seating space. Rooftop nursery and drying table (Figure 2). The manor inside has an open structure and uses winding staircases and inclines to sort out the space, mirroring the dynamic, whimsical spatial association. Le Corbusier likes to make holes around the apparently basic components, enabling the penetrated light to frame a radiance along the hole limits, while preventing the overwhelming impacts from claiming basic components. The hole can be plainly observed around the stairwell of the Savoy Villa, and there is additionally a "shock 10 cm wide even cut" between the rooftop and the mass of the Langxiang Church.

The Savoy Villa features a reinforced concrete frame structure that provides great flexibility in space layout. The square building body, the open roof garden and the unique space organization supported by the white pillars on the bottom layer reflect the superiority of the structure and realize the perfect combination of technology, function and form.

The villa's simple appearance and bright shape reflect the new architectural aesthetic principles advocated by modernism. The horizontally stretched horizontal long window, the bright and fresh white powder wall, and the parts without any additional decorative design, like a car, an airplane, and a ship, are completely logical reflections of internal functions, reflecting Le• The famous quote of Le Corbusier "House is the machine of residence".
